China - superlative growth market

With a gross domestic product of USD 14 billion, China ranks among the top countries internationally. The economy continues to develop in a positive direction - especially in Zhejiang Province, which has a population of 55 million and maintains a close partnership with Schleswig-Holstein.

India already has several hundred thousand small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seeking collaboration. The flow of German and European investments into these companies has been rather modest so far - despite enormous opportunities. India accommodates the SMEs, for example through "Ease of Doing Business" in the administrative sector. Since the partners in India are typically masters in the difficult field of sales and distribution, and above all are looking for access to know-how, the prospects for sales by Schleswig-Holstein companies and for production in South Asia are very good – or in Indian terms: "The sky is the limit."

USA - High-Tech Centre Silicon Valley

Speed, agility and a strong network are of the essence here. While companies in other countries often adhere to their own concerns and work on their own top-secret innovations, the founders located in Silicon Valley are much more open. The exchange of ideas, know-how and contacts is a natural process for them, with quite an impact: Silicon Valley alone is home to 24 unicorns, i. e. start-ups worth more than $1 billion.
