In the middle of it all
Located along the North Sea coast between Hamburg and Denmark, the energy coast is part of the Hamburg metropolitan region and can be reached with excellent transport connections. At the centre of the region is the roughly 2,000-hectare ChemCoast Park Brunsbüttel, the largest industrial area in Schleswig-Holstein. With the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicon Technology (ISIT) in Itzehoe and the FH Westküste University of Applied Sciences in Heide, outstanding research institutions are at your disposal for cooperation with industry. Our region can be easily reached from the markets in northern Germany and Scandinavia by road, rail or water.
